【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiessafetyrequirementsandtheirverficationfordesignandconstructionoftransportable,i.e.self-propelled,mounted,semi-mountedandtrailed,woodchippersusedinforesty,agriculture,horticultureandlandscaping.Thisdocumentappliestochippers,usedwhenstationary,whicharemanuallyloadedwithwoodthroughahorizontalornearhorizontalinfeedchuteandwheretheinfeedactionisperformedbythechippingcomponentsactingasinfeedcomponedtsorbyseparateintegratedinfeedchute.Theincludedwoodchippersmaybepoweredeitherbyanexternalpowertake-off,hydraulicsetc.orbyanintegralpowersourcesuchasaninternalcombustionengine.Thisdocumentdoesnotcover:-requirementsrelatingtonationalroadregulationsarisingfromtransportbetweenworksites;-hazardsarisingfromanyself-propelledfunction;-hazardsarisingfromthetransmissionofpowerfromanexternalpowersource-e.g.powertake-offdriveshafts;-anymachineswheretheinfeedchuteisfittedwithanextensiontableortheintegratedchainconveyorisprotrudingbeyondtheoutermostloweredgeoftheinfeedchute;-hazardsarisingfrotheenginepullstartingofanintegralpowersource;-hazardsarisingfrommechanicalloading;-verticalinfeedchutechippers;-shredders/lchipperstobecoveredbyEN13683;-anymachineswheretheinfeedchuteisfittedwithabelttypeconveyor;-mechanicaldischargesystems.Thisdocumentdealswithallsignificanthazards,hazardoussituationsandeventsrelevanttowoodchippers,whentheyareusedasintendedandundertheconditionsforeseenbythemanufacturer(seeAnnexA).Inaddition,itspecifiesthetypeofinformationtobeprovidedbythemanufactureronthesafeuseofthesemachines.Itisnotapplicabletoenvironmentalhazards(exceptnoise).ThisdocumentisnotapplicabletowoodchipperswhicharemanufacturedbeforethedateofpublicationofthisdocumentbyCEN.
