【摘要】:ThistestmethodisaderivativeofTestMethodA697/A697MspecificallydesignedfortestingoftoroidalcoreswhicharenotcoveredinTestMethodA697/A697Mandfortestingatmagneticfluxdensitiesabovethekneeofthemagnetizationcurve.Specimensizetypicallyrangesfrom1to1.25in.[25.4to31.8mm]ininsidediameterto1.5in.[38.1mm]inoutsidediameterwithweightsrangingfrom30to60g.Providedthetestequipmentissuitablychosen,thereisnoobviouslimittotheoverallsizeofcorethatcanbetested.Ifbasicmaterialpropertiesaredesired,thentherequirementsof5.1mustbeobserved.Thereproducibilityandrepeatabilityofthistestmethodaresuchthatthistestmethodissuitablefordesign,specificationacceptance,serviceevaluation,andresearchanddevelopment.Whentestingundersinusoidalfluxconditionsatmagneticfluxdensitiesapproachingsaturation,highlypeakedmagnetizingwaveformswillbepresent,andthetestinstrumentsusedmusthavecrestfactorcapabilitiesofatleast3;otherwiseerroneousresultswillbeobtained.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofseveralacmagneticpropertiesofeitherlaminatedringortoroidaltapewoundcoresmadefromflatrolledproduct.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstestequipmentandproceduresfordeterminationofspecificcoreloss,specificexcitingpower,andpeakpermeabilityforpowerandaudiofrequencies(50to20000Hz)undersinusoidalfluxconditions.1.3Thistestmethod,becauseoftheuseofafeedback-controlledpoweramplifier,iswellsuitedfordeterminationofacmagneticpropertiesatmagneticfluxdensitiesabovethekneeofthemagnetizationcurveandisparticularlyusefulfortestingofhigh-saturationiron-cobaltalloys(forexample,alloyslistedinSpecificationA801),althoughuseofthistestmethodisnotrestrictedtoaparticulartypeofmaterial.1.4ThistestmethodshallbeusedinconjunctionwithPracticeA34/A34MandTerminologyA340.1.5Thevaluesandequationsstatedincustomary(cgs-emuandinch-pound)orSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthisstandard,SIunitsareshowninbracketsexceptforthesectionsconcerningcalculationswherethereareseparatesectionsfortherespectiveunitsystems.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
